While likely suffering from pneumonia, suffering with a high fever, these photographs of the 2019 New Year's fireworks were captured near Seattle's space needle. As the clock ticked toward the new year, from December 31, 2018, into the January 1, 2019, the space needle fireworks began as the clock counted down the last seconds to midnight. The 2019 space needle fireworks continued for several minutes. the fireworks spouted so intensely from the needle that at times they created a fireballs of white hot light that sometimes nearly engulfed the entire tower.
