Studio 2.8, Seattle Protests, Black Lives Matter, George Floyd, May 30, 2020, I Cant Breathe And We Want Justice Posters
This Studio 2.8 photography photograph of a pair of racial justice demonstrators who held aloft a pair of double sided white poster board signs, one of which contained the phrase "I Can't Breathe" and the other of which contained the phrase "We Want Justice", was produced on the afternoon of Saturday May 30, 2020 along 4th Avenue in Seattle, Washington just north of the Seattle Public library, as political demonstrators matched northward toward Westlake Park, as they marched for miles in protest through the streets of downtown Seattle, undaunted, in the pouring rain. This Studio 2.8 photography political documentary photo team has been toiling assiduously to produce in-depth coverage of the landmark racial justice protests that continue in Seattle, and which continue across the United States of America and which continue around the world in response to the death of George Floyd, an African American, while he was being arrested by police in Minneapolis, MN. The worldwide protests are a "fed up" response, after years, after decades, of racism, and racial injustice against African American people in the U.S. and in other countries all over the world.
